Well done Cobargo Hotel-Motel

Well done Cobargo Hotel-Motel a finalist in the Bega Valley business awards, a great achievement for David and Bronwyn Allen and their team, in the hospitality category, a very slim margin between the three finalist, resulting in Toast cafe Pambula taking out the award.

Over 900 nominations were submitted for the awards.

The awards were funded and presented by the Bega Valley Business Forum,which comprises of a representative from Eden,Pambula, Tathra, Merimbula, Bega and Cobargo Chamber of Commerce/Tourist and Business Association. Each representative had two or three categories out of 18 to research, this proved to be a lengthy and extremely challenging process, a secretive representative also visited each of the finalist, the general public formed a large part of the judging.

The awards were presented at Club Sapphire Merimbula, on Saturday the 17th June, The room looked spectacular decorated in black and gold, including the red carpet to welcome all.

Guest speakers, were Kristy McBain, Federal member for Eden Monaro and Russell Fitzpatrick, mayor of Bega valley, both spoke about the importance of businesses to the Bega Valley economy.

We encourage our northern end of the shire, to participate in the 2024 business awards, now is the time to prepare for your business/individual to shine.
